Obama: I was “surprised” by the poor preparation of security for the Capitol attack

Former US President Barack Obama stated that he was surprised at how poorly prepared the security services were during the recent storming of the Capitol building in Washington.

In an interview with German TV Channel Two, “ZDF” today, Sunday, he said, “The devices were much more concerned and better prepared when it came to the peaceful demonstrations of the black life movement.”

Obama added that some observers expressed their belief that the white protesters had been treated relatively kindly by the police and security forces.

Obama had spoken the day after the attack on the Capitol, describing it as a “great moment of shame” and “shame on our nation” and held Trump responsible for what happened.

He said that it was the Chargé d’Affairs, who spread lies about legitimate elections for no reason, who incited violence.

On January 6, hundreds of supporters of former US President Donald Trump stormed the Congress building, killing several people.
