One NBA reporter got the scare of her life when she was surprised by the Oklahoma City Thunder’s mascot just minutes before she went live.
A now-viral video shows the moment Brooke Olzendam had Rumble the Bison sneak up on her before she was set to provide an update on the game between the Oklahoma team and the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Trail Blazers, along with Sports Center and Barstool Sports, shared the hilarious video of the scare, on social media Tuesday.
Olzendam is no newcomer to a good courtside scare, however. In 2017, she had another video of her being approached sneakily by an NBA mascot go viral.

In the video taken Monday, Olzendam is seen standing in front of the camera for several seconds as Rumble slowly walks up behind her and pauses while at her side.
After about five seconds, the Trail Blazers side line reporter realizes some one is standing next to her and stumbles to the side in horror.
Olzendam quickly ran away as the mascot also pranced off from the scene of the crime.
The reporter appears to have a good sense of humor as she immediately began laughing off the scare in the viral video.
Social media users weighed in on the video by apologizing to the reporter but thanking her for having the funniest reaction possible.
‘Sorry @BrookeOlzendam I keep watching this over and over. It’s so funny!’ said one person.
‘Really, Brooke? Gotcha’ again?’ wrote one Twitter user.

The NBA reporter quickly laughed off the scare
Just hours beforehand, the NBA reporter had posted a picture alongside the mascot, making her own joke in which she called the bison her ‘nemesis.’
‘Ran into my nemesis, tonight. He told me I should be scared tomorrow night… Well, his eyes did,’ Olzendam captioned the picture with Bison.
‘Mission accomplished,’ responded one person hours later.
Rumble the Bison’s Twitter account responded to the reporter’s post by using several of the eyes and ‘soon’ emojis, foreshadowing what was to come for the reporter.

Olzendam may now be the foremost expert on courtside scares after her most recent run-in with the Oklahoma City mascot.
Back in 2017, Pierre the Pelican, the mascot for the New Orleans Pelicans’ pulled off a similar prank in which the character slyly snuck up on her in a similar fashion.
‘Oh my God,’ Olzendam said after she turned and noticed the mascot standing beside her, laughing off the joke.
In that incident, Pierre ended up getting the last laugh, dancing in the background of the video as Olzendam recovered from the scare.
