October 11 of each year was designated as the International Day of the Girl, and the goal is to focus and pay attention to the problems faced by the girl and to confront and confront them, and to have a safe life by providing the most basic rights such as quality education, a quiet life, work and access to leadership positions, and positive education to raise a good future generation .
In this regard, Prof. Dr. Amr Hassan, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility at the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al-Ainy, and the former Strong Population Council rapporteur, confirmed that Egypt has taken effective steps in achieving and empowering women and placing them on the priorities of the strategic work of the state, as Egypt has always been associated with its name with a long history and an impressive civilization in which it was Women and girls have important roles throughout the ages.

Girl and International Day
Amr added that Egypt is one of the countries that cares about supporting women, adhering to their constitutional rights, and realizing the values of justice and equality to guarantee their rights in various areas of life.
The assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology confirmed that among the resulting problems in society is the population increase, which can be solved by empowering women and increasing their awareness and quality education, ridding the community of exposure to overpopulation.
The high rates of illiteracy among women, which leads to their inability to qualify for the labor market and for development and progress, limits the role of women in society, and home life, procreation and raising children become the primary concern, and consequently the country is exposed to population increase, and therefore the solution is to educate them.
Hassan pointed out that the high rates of illiteracy among girls lead to early marriage for females, and thus early childbearing, as the girl is in the highest fertile stages, and therefore the girl must obtain her natural right to education and then be able to get a suitable job.

Education and science day for the girl
In addition, there are customs and traditions prevailing in society that must be confronted, such as early childbearing and having a large number of children, all of which causes an exacerbation of the population increase, and also negatively affects the health of the girl.
Also, the lack of sufficient awareness of the necessity of spacing births to give children sufficient time for care and proper upbringing, with the low economic level of families, shows us a serious problem, namely the problem of child labor and dropout from education, and all these negative matters negatively affect society and create a society that is not qualified for progress.
On the International Day of the Girl, we send a message to society, which is “A strong girl = a healthier family and a more aware society.” When girls are educated, able to know their rights and enjoy good health, this means a healthier and more stable society, and a more elevated and advanced country.
