One hundred days transforming the life of Quintana Roo

Chetumal.- The governor of Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama Espinosa, is installing in the first 100 days a new form of government for the transformation of Quintana Roo; with an austere administration, which walks at ground level, which she responds to and sees mainly for her people. With strong results in hospital investment, public works, infrastructure in the north, center and to recover among priorities, the brightness of the south of the state.

As part of the first actions, the Governor launched a New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo in order to rebuild the social fabric, reduce inequality gaps, guarantee citizen security and generate shared, sustainable and sustainable economic development. .

To this end, in this year’s regular budget, 2 billion pesos were redirected towards social programs and actions for those who have the least and need it the most. This is the largest budget in history for social welfare and a true government austerity policy because the poor come first.

Mara Lezama has placed the citizens who have become a fundamental piece of the people’s government at the center of decisions and has banished protocols to prioritize the people.

Likewise, before the Government of Mexico, Mara Lezama carried out the most important management in history for infrastructure works in the city of Cancun, such as the new Colosio boulevard, the junction at the entrance to the International Airport, the bridge over the lagoon Nichupté, the extension of Chacmol avenue, the construction of the new Tulum airport, among many others.

In the center and south of the state, work is underway to inaugurate the new Chetumal Cancer Hospital shortly, the project to replace the Chetumal General Hospital and also the Nicolás Bravo Community Hospital is advancing, and the start-up of the hospital in Felipe Carrillo Puerto .

The Governor maintains contact and closeness with the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who recently announced that in Quintana Roo there will be a historic investment of more than 45 billion pesos, and this has also allowed programs and actions to be accelerated and launched. that accelerate investments for the benefit of citizens.

In relation to tourism, the engine of Quintana Roo’s economy, with 30 million passengers the entity broke all tourist records with the firm conviction of distributing this success more equitably throughout the state.

To bring shared prosperity and social justice to the south of the state, Mara Lezama managed one billion pesos for the archaeological zones that include Ichkabal and Paamul 2, and is also working on the diversification of tourist activity.

And so that prosperity is shared, he reached solidarity agreements with all business groups to do justice to those who with their hands and work make Quintana Roo a prosperous and developing state.

In terms of gender equality, Quintana Roo is working on a social policy that puts women at the center of decisions.

In order to strengthen the protection of citizens, as well as to recover peace and tranquility, in these 100 days a human security strategy was implemented, based on addressing not only crime, but also the causes that originate it.
