Lorenzo’s Locks: The 3 best bets you should consider for NFL Week 5
SportsPulse: Lorenzo almost had his first perfect weekend in Week 4 but he’s still on a roll. In Week 5 he gives you his three best bets.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — One more Tennessee Titans player tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, a league source confirmed to The Tennessean, further jeopardizing the chances of the team playing the Bills on Sunday as scheduled.
Thursday’s positive result was first reported by the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
The league source, who requested anonymity because no official announcement has been made, also said that an inconclusive test from Wednesday was confirmed to be positive. All told, the team’s total number of positive tests since Sept. 24 now stands at 23, including 13 players and 10 team personnel.
It’s more devastating news for the Titans after they had returned only negative test results on Monday and Tuesday, which had coach Mike Vrabel hopeful his team could return to practice soon and play their game against the Buffalo Bills as scheduled Sunday.
The team facility, which has been closed since early last week, will remain closed Thursday.

The Titans had 18 members of their team test positive between Tuesday and Sunday of last week, including nine players and nine team personnel. Vrabel on Tuesday said the infected individuals are progressing and “headed in the right direction, but I’m not going to get into specific individual’s symptoms.”
The outbreak, the first to hit an NFL team, forced the league to reshuffle part of its schedule. The Titans and Steelers took their open week last week after their Week 4 game in Nashville was postponed, and their rescheduled game will be played at noon Oct. 25.
