One person has died and another is unaccounted for after a home was gutted by fire.
The fire engulfed the home in Kilcoy in the Sunshine Coast hinterland on Saturday afternoon, with neighbours watching on as the roof and top floor collapsed as firefighters fought the flames.
Multiple fire trucks, ambulances and police patrol cars were on the scene but the house was gutted before the fire could be brought under control.

Police have established a major investigation centre at nearby Caboolture Police Station as investigators attempt to determine the source of the fire.
Emergency crews have recovered one body after the blaze was extinguished. however, a nearby resident is also unaccounted for with fears they could also have been inside.
The fire is understood to have started about 2.15pm with neighbours reporting hearing an explosion.
‘I heard the bang and I saw it go up in flames. Our mates came over to help save our property,’ next door neighbour Greg Smith told The Courier Mail.
No other houses were significantly damaged and the street has been closed to traffic.
Investigators will need to wait until Sunday morning to set foot in the debris as the heat retained from the house was too intense on Saturday.
