Opposition will choose a single candidate for the presidential election in Venezuela

Venezuela’s opposition agreed to set the primary election for the end of June 2023 in which will designate its sole candidate for the presidential elections, two sources familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

Presidential elections are scheduled for 2024, but the authorities of the National Electoral Council (CNE), the highest authority of the elections in Venezuela, have not yet determined the date of the day.
