An organisation queen has shared her top tips for hanging jeans, long coats and sweatshirts to prevent ‘shoulder bumps’, and it’s more than likely you’ve never tried these methods before.
The founder of Make Life Simpler on Instagram shared a video of how she organises her closet to create more space and keep ironed garments sleek.
To hang jeans she places the trousers over a coat hanger before wrapping the loop at the back of the denim around the top of the hanger.

Pulling gently on the pockets will release the denim slightly and allow it to ‘hang’ so it doesn’t fall off the hanger at a later stage.
To hang up sweatshirts she folds the item of clothing in half with the sleeves extended out flat.
Then she tucks the sleeves over the coat hanger before folding the rest of the sweatshirt over the top so the end result looks like a shawl over the hanger.

Finally, to hang pants without belt loops, bring one of the trouser legs through the coat hanger, fold over and in half before allowing the rest to hang
Stuck with a bulky coat but your wardrobe isn’t a full length size? The organisational wizard clamps the coat from the bottom, hangs the top from a regular hanger and then connects the two ends so the garment is folded in half.

‘Wow, why have I never thought to fold my clothes like this? It makes so much sense,’ said one devoted follower.
‘This would probably take some getting used to but it’ll be worth it,’ said another.
A third added: ‘Right I’m doing this to my wardrobe straight away’.
