Borj el-Barajneh – 28 days ago, specifically on October 7, it was launched Al-Qassam Brigades The military arm of the Islamic Resistance Movement (agitation), practical “Al-Aqsa flood“Which targeted dozens of military sites and Israeli settlements in the area Gaza coverIn response to the continuing attacks by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers against the Palestinian people, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
On the other hand, the Israeli occupation forces – with broad American and Western support – launched a military operation called “Iron Swords”, during which hundreds of massacres were carried out against the civilian population in Gaza strip It led to the death of nearly 10,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, after it dropped explosives equivalent to two nuclear bombs on the Gaza Strip.
With the continuation of the Israeli massacres and the cohesion of the Palestinian resistance in the face of the Israeli ground operation, many observers are wondering how to stop the war of extermination against civilians in Gaza, and the future of the resistance in the Strip, in addition to the new international and regional negotiations and efforts seeking a ceasefire.
We posed all of these questions and more directly to the representative of Hamas in Lebanon, Osama Hamdan:
First, in light of official Arab silence and Western green light, how can the Israeli massacres against civilians in Gaza be stopped?
There is no doubt that stopping the bloodshed is an important issue, and at the level of peoples there is more than one title that can be taken. The first title is presence in the field and media pressure, because this would affect the decision maker and the enemy. The more the state of anger escalates, the more pressure this will put on people. The enemy and worry him.
The second issue: We must be frank: unless people move to put pressure on governments, Arab governments will not take clear decisions and cut off relations with the Zionist entity, stop communications with it, expel its ambassadors, and boycott it at all levels.
The third issue, which I believe is also important, is that a message must reach everyone who has influence on the Israeli decision, especially the United States, that the issue of Palestine is not the issue of the Palestinians alone and that the expansion of fighting there will lead to harming America’s reputation and interests in the region.
How do you view the plans to displace Palestinians in Gaza? Could the ongoing Israeli massacres push the population to move towards Egypt?
We believe that the idea of displacing the Palestinian people at the present time has become impossible, as the people have become more attached to their land, and even despite the Israeli bombing and massacres, people move from one area to another inside Gaza to escape the bombing, but no one has tried to escape and leave the Gaza Strip, and they prefer to bear martyrdom on their land instead of making the plans succeed. The occupation and its successor, the United States, are displacing the Palestinian people.
Negotiations are now taking place under international mediation, whether to bring in humanitarian aid or for a ceasefire. Is there a positive development in this file?
Let us say that there are no negotiations in the real sense, but rather attempts to feel the pulse and express positions, and the reason is that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly obstructs and rejects all international and regional mediation efforts, believing that he can achieve some progress on the ground that will help him improve his negotiating position.
In short, Netanyahu believes that a ceasefire or reaching an agreement at the present time means the end of his political career and his entry into prison. Therefore, he does not mind committing more massacres against the Palestinian people. Likewise, he does not care about the killing of Israeli soldiers in the Gaza battles, nor does he care about the fate of the prisoners being held by them. Resistance.
In general, we have presented several offers and ideas in this direction, based on a permanent ceasefire, a complete opening of the Rafah crossing, and lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip, after which we can talk about a prisoner exchange deal.
Why do you think the United States insists on a temporary truce and not a complete ceasefire?
The American administration was not satisfied with providing political cover for the occupation and was not satisfied with supplying it with weapons and its crime of trying to displace our people to Sinai and pressuring the Arab countries to accept it, but it insists on the continuation of the Israeli aggression and massacres against the Palestinian people to pressure the Palestinian resistance and force it to accept the conditions of the occupation.
The American administration did not stop there, as it is now putting forward a new idea that it calls “the future of the Gaza Strip without Hamas.” The truth is that it aims to choose a puppet Palestinian leadership in accordance with American-Israeli standards.
We consider this to be a blatant interference in Palestinian affairs and aggression against our people, who have clearly sided with the option of resistance. This plan will fail, God willing, just as it failed the displacement plans.
We saw positive positions by Russia and China during the battle, as well as the visit of the Hamas delegation to Moscow. Can you inform us of the details of these negotiations?
The truth is that the Chinese and Russian position in this battle was very positive, and we have continuous contacts with Moscow and Beijing to explain the vision of the Palestinian people and their resistance, and we hope that this communication will continue and develop in the future.
You said in the first days of the start of the ground operation, at dawn tomorrow, the world will discover what epic and heroic story the Palestinian people have written? Can you tell us about some of what the resistance did while confronting the occupation forces?
What happened in the past few days was witnessed by the whole world and spoken by the spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, in terms of the valor of the mujahideen and their good performance in the field, which thwarted all attempts at Israeli advance and caused the enemy to inflict heavy losses on the level of tanks and soldiers.
The resistance has many recorded clips depicting what happened to the occupation soldiers on the outskirts of Gaza, and it will release them at the appropriate time. The resistance is proud enough that the occupation was surprised that the resistance succeeded, with a home-made missile, “Al-Yassin 105,” in destroying dozens of its tanks and modern armored vehicles, which it is proud of, and killing its soldiers inside them. .
Do you think that the success of the resistance in confronting the ground operation will contribute to ending the war? Or will Israel continue its war on Gaza with American support?
There is no doubt that the field data will have a major impact on the facts of matters, and we are confident in the ability of the Al-Qassam Brigades and their good management of the battle, thanks to God Almighty, and relying on the ability of our people to withstand. Therefore, we believe that the coming days will bring achievements in the field that will force the enemy to accept the reality that Gaza is fortified.
It is important for the occupation and those behind it to know that the massacres and genocidal war against the Palestinian people will not succeed in breaking the defeat of the mujahideen and forcing them to stop harming and attacking the enemy everywhere. On the contrary, it encourages them to avenge the blood of the martyrs.
The Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood witnessed for the first time operations by the Al-Qassam Brigades launched from Lebanon? Can we know the objectives of these operations and can we witness similar operations with the continuation of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip?
The Palestinian people are united in one goal, which is to liberate Palestine, return the refugees, and release the prisoners. It is natural for the Palestinian factions in Lebanon to participate in this battle, and without going into details for military and security reasons, the resistance in Lebanon will continue its operations if the Israeli occupation continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip.
28 days after the Al-Aqsa flood, how do you evaluate the battle and the future of the Palestinian cause?
It is difficult to evaluate the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood at the present time, as it has not yet ended, but one of the most important consequences of this battle is that it put the Palestinian people on a clear path in their cause, which is the path of resistance, and this battle put the entire region before a clear and historical entitlement that they can say no to American hegemony. This region can put its situation in order without the need for American assistance.
We seek to completely liberate Palestine, and we must think outside the box, exert all possible means, and adhere to the resistance project until the end.
