The head of the Moroccan government, Saad Eddine El Othmani, considered that “the fierce attacks targeting the” Justice and Development “party are evidence of its strength, noting that it” disturbs some parties and lobbies. ”
“The attacks that are fierce in many cases indicate the strength of the party and its effectiveness in the political arena, and that it disturbs some parties and lobbies,” al-Othmani, the party’s general secretary, said during his reception with a delegation of his party’s members in the city of Muhammadiyah.
He added, “Party members should not be affected by the attacks that the party is constantly exposed to, whether they are political, media or other.”
He continued, “The attacks provide us with evidence that the Justice and Development Party plays a central role in political life.”
He considered that the proposal to amend the electoral denominator made by other political parties “is evidence of their inability to confront justice and development in the electoral arena with the rules they have established since 2002.”
Al-Othmani stressed that despite changing electoral laws and rules, “this will not diminish the strength of the Justice and Development Party, nor make it back down, but rather it will continue to be able to compete to lead the next elections.”
