SAN FRANCISCO – The 17th annual Outside Lands music festival is set to begin this Friday in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, drawing thousands of attendees for a weekend headlined by Tyler, The Creator, Hozier, and Doja Cat. However, festival-goers should note two last-minute changes to the performance schedule.
German artist DJ Koze has canceled his Friday set due to an “acute infection accompanied by persistent physical exhaustion and fever,” according to a statement on his website. Bonobo will now perform in his place at 4:40 p.m. on Friday.
Additionally, the band Wunderhorse has withdrawn from their Saturday performance. In a post on X, lead singer Jacob Slater explained he is still recovering from recent tooth surgery. The Army, The Navy will now fill the band’s 2:20 p.m. slot on Saturday.
For those attending, festival gates open at 11 a.m. each day, with performances running from noon until approximately 10 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Single-day and three-day general admission passes are still available, with prices starting at $235 and $539, respectively. Upgraded GA+ and VIP tickets are also for sale.
Attendees are encouraged to travel bag-free, though clear bags, small fanny packs, and empty hydration packs are permitted. The festival continues its tradition of showcasing local cuisine with “A Taste of the Bay Area,” featuring vendors such as Bodega SF, Brenda’s French Soul Food, and Da Poke Man.
Parking is expected to be extremely limited, and organizers recommend using public transportation or rideshare services. Official festival shuttles will run from the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and the Cow Palace, with passes ranging from $33 to $96. BART will operate its normal schedule, allowing connections to Muni lines that service Golden Gate Park.
