Say what? A video of an over-the-top wedding in the Hamptons complete with dancing hedges and a polka-dot painted woman has gone viral on TikTok
Performers: Smash Entertainment, a female-owned entertainment company in New York, baffled TikTok users when it shared a video of the one-of-a-kind nuptials
The video shows someone walking toward the tent at the outdoor wedding, and there is plenty to see along the way.
Performers dressed as foliage are swaying back and forth in oversize flower pots and dancing in front of hedges that they blend into thanks to their camouflage outfits.
If that isn’t creepy enough, there are green arms that look like they’re trying to grab guests as they poke through the bushes.
While the servers offering wine to guests are dressed normally in black ties and pants, there is a woman whose body is painted white with black polka dots to match her polka-dot ensemble.
Some deduced that the look was inspired by the work of the late pop artist Roy Lichtenstein, whose paintings resembled comic strips. The walking piece of art waves to the camera while holding a tray of hand towels for guests.

Blending in: The performers were also seen dancing in front of hedges that they blend into thanks to their camouflage outfits
The short video ends with a close-up of the shrub dancers, which seems to be a signature offering for the event company.
The only reminder that this wedding isn’t actually a fever dream is the protective face masks worn by the servers and performers, though the painted lady didn’t have one on.
The wild wedding reception was held last Saturday at Fairview Farm at Mecox, a family-owned business in Bridgehampton, New York.
The adults-only affair started at 4 p.m. following a more traditional ceremony at Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Sag Harbor.
Wild time: While Smash Entertainment didn’t name the bride and groom, guests took to Instagram to share photos of the wedding
Say cheese! One couple couldn’t resist taking a photo in front of the dancing shrubbery
Clever: Another pair posed inside the tent in front of a neon sign that said ‘Till Death Do Us Party’
While Smash Entertainment didn’t name the bride and groom, guests took to Instagram to share photos of the wedding using the hashtag #adamslovesart.
One pair posed inside the tent in front of a neon sign that said ‘Till Death Do Us Party,’ while another couldn’t resist taking a photo in front of the dancing shrubbery.
It’s unclear how much the show-stopping wedding reception cost or what the newlyweds do for a living, but Smash Entertainment knows how to throw an unforgettable party.
The company has worked with everyone from Beyoncé and the Obamas to Cirque du Soleil and The Red Cross, according to its website.
However, viewers had mixed feelings about the Hamptons wedding, though they seemed to take more issue with the theme rather than the execution of it.
The video has been viewed more than two million times and has received thousands of comments from critics and fans alike.
Cracking jokes: While the theme of the wedding remains unknown, social media users have compared it to everything from the Hunger Games Capitol (pictured) to a Tim Burton film

Many thought the wedding served as proof that the rich waste money and should be heavily taxed for their own good.
‘How rich do you need to be not only to pay for [a] dancing hedge at your wedding but also think it’s a good idea?’ one person asked, while another added: ‘Wow a TikTok that actually made me grateful to be middle class.’
‘Tell me you don’t know what to do with your money without telling me you don’t know what to do with your money,’ someone else wrote.
Others couldn’t stop cracking jokes about what the wedding’s theme must be, with The Hunger Games and Tim Burton all being top contenders.
‘Was the theme Bridgerton meets Tim Burton?’ one TikToker asked, while another commented: ‘What in the Hunger Games Capitol…’
‘Is this the ending to the Hunger Games?’ someone else guessed.
Big time: Smash Entertainment clearly knows how to throw an unforgettable party, and the company has worked with everyone from Beyoncé to the Obamas
Same sentiment: The viral video eventually found its way to Twitter and the comments mirrored the ones on TikTok
While people had a field day mocking the wedding, there were plenty of fans who liked the theme and appreciated the artistry behind it.
‘Why’s everyone so negative in the comments?’ one person asked. ‘This is cool. Let ppl live. Goodness gracious.’
The viral video eventually found its way to Twitter after it was shared by activist and author Mikki Kendall, who tweeted: ‘Is the theme of this wedding panic attack? I have questions.’
The comments mirrored the ones on TikTok, with one person noting: ‘It’s the baroque aesthetic of the Hunger Games Capital adopted without any irony. It didn’t work out so well in the films, or in 1770s France.’
‘Is this what happens if you hire Guillermo del Toro as your wedding planner?’ someone else asked.
‘So, about that wealth tax,’ another joked.
