Palace in dilemma, due to verbal violence

Accepting as normal the verbal violence of Power encourages physical violence, was the historical lesson of that tragic afternoon 28 years ago in Tijuana, when Mario Aburto assassinated the PRI presidential candidate Luis Donaldo Colosio.

That lesson was forgotten by the “revolution of consciences”, since it made daily practice of violent political rhetoric that dehumanizes adversaries and only increased the risks of physical violence.

The indefensible criminal attack against Ciro Gómez Leyva is the result of the violent rhetoric of labeling critics as enemies and conspirators and closing spaces for political dialogue and places the Government and the Republic at a crossroads.

In February, Plan B: “do not kill the wolf”

In this generous space in El Economista, it was argued that the Government and the Official Party were not in a hurry than their unconstitutional Plan B to change the electoral system and rules, which would be left to the decision of the Supreme Court.
