Considering that the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) is taken over by the federal government, the national leader of the PAN, Marko Cortesdemanded the president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador “That it remove the hands of the autonomous organizations that had worked to preserve the rights of Mexicans and not the interests of the regime in power and its party.”
After the CNDH attacked the INE and spoke out for its “transformation” as proposed by President López Obrador, the PAN leader considered the recommendation of the Human Rights body on the elections and the National Electoral Institute (INE) to be illegal.
“The current National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) confirms that it is no longer useful for anything, because it has become a vile instrument of the Moreno regime and not of the citizenry,” assured the national president of the PAN.
Marko Cortés Mendoza argued that the head of the CNDH, Rosario Piedra Ibarra, was “imposed” as president of the CNDH because she did not achieve the required qualified majority vote in the Senate of the Republic and because she concealed that she was a member of Morena, “so how illegal his appointment was, how is this recommendation that completely obeys the whims and orders from the government, despite the fact that by law the Commission should be a completely autonomous body, precisely so that it fulfills its task of guaranteeing human rights.”
“This recommendation defends the government and not the citizenry and, in addition to being aberrational and shameful, it demonstrates the total impudence, cynicism and crude impudence of the President of the Republic in using the entire state apparatus, including the bodies that should be autonomous. but it already controls, through its puppets, for its own purposes, without attending to the needs and demands of the people”, he pointed out.
He said that instead of attacking the Autonomous Electoral Organizations, the CNDH should defend them, “because voting and being voted in free and democratic elections, organized by an arbitrator and sanctioned by an autonomous electoral tribunal, is a human right that must be guaranteed.” .
He questioned that the CNDH deals with electoral matters that are not its responsibility, and leaves unaddressed matters of its competence and of real relevance and urgency such as militarization, “where they have not issued a single comment.”
He argued that another issue that has gone unnoticed by the CNDH is the victims of violence, homicides and femicides, and it has not spoken out about the mismanagement of the pandemic, where more than 600,000 Mexicans died as a result of negligence and lack of care. appropriate measures to support the population.
