(Trends Wide) — A passenger on a flight from Cali, Colombia, used an emergency exit and stepped onto the wing of the plane at Miami International Airport on Wednesday night, Miami-Dade police said.
The plane had just landed and was positioning itself at the gate, according to police.
The passenger, a man, was detained by US Customs and Border Protection, police said.
The man is a US citizen and the flight was American Airlines 920, according to Trends Wide-affiliated station WPLG, which cited police.
The passenger told police he was not feeling well, WPLG reported. He was taken to an emergency room “after paramedics determined that he had high blood pressure,” the affiliate network said.
