(CNN) — Marvel star Paul Rudd is everywhere now, but there was a time when he felt like he didn’t really belong where he was.
The “Ant-Man” star, who is a regular in Judd Apatow’s films, said his time as Lisa Kudrow’s partner, with Mike Hannigan’s character on the popular TV series “Friends,” became a appearance in the final episode of one of the biggest sitcoms in television history.
“It was so much fun and they were great! It was all a bit surreal, I have to say, to be a part of it, because I really got to the end,” Rudd said in an interview with The Heart morning show.

He continued: “I never knew I was going to be in so many [episodios] how i was But he also felt strange. I was in the last episode and I was like, ‘I shouldn’t be here.’ I’m going to get a front row seat to things I’m not supposed to see. Everyone was crying, it was all emotional and I was like, ‘wow!’”
Rudd also appeared briefly on the “Friends” reunion special in 2021, discussing his time as Phoebe Buffay’s boyfriend, alongside Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.
