Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes captured attention on the MLB All-Star Game red carpet in Atlanta on Tuesday with a chivalrous gesture for his girlfriend, Olivia Dunne.
The 6-foot-6 pitcher paused to kneel and tie the lace-up white high heels of Dunne, a gymnast and social media influencer. After Skenes carefully secured the straps, the couple continued down the red carpet hand-in-hand. Dunne later shared a video of the moment on her Instagram, captioning it, “Gentleman Paul Skenes.”
For the event, Dunne, 21, wore a navy blue sleeveless turtleneck gown by Silvia Tcherassi, which featured a prominent back cutout. Skenes, 22, and Dunne have been dating since meeting at Louisiana State University in 2023.
This appearance follows a significant year for Dunne, who graduated from LSU in December 2023 and was recently named one of four cover stars for the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
However, the influencer also made headlines earlier this month when her offer to purchase Babe Ruth’s former New York City apartment was rejected. Dunne informed her followers that the building’s co-op board voted against her residency despite her reported $1.59 million cash offer. According to reports, the board’s decision was influenced by Dunne publicizing the potential purchase on social media before it was finalized.
