After announcing this afternoon the extensions of Grant Williams and Romeo Langford until 2023, it is now Payton Pritchard and Aaron Nesmith who renew their contract with the Celtics rookie. Both outside players have just started their second season with the team for which they were selected in the 2020 draft. With this new signing, Nesmith will receive 3.8 million for the next season, while Pritchard will receive 2.2.
Both the point guard and the guard are finding it difficult to get into a rhythm this season. Nesmith had already had a hard time having an impact on the team’s game in his first year, but in the three games he has played at 21-22, he averages just 9 minutes without a single point scored. Something better is Pritchard, whose minutes and statistics in general also suffer a notable decrease. Nothing that surprises in the context of some Celtics that do not finish carbure with the new project that Ime Udoka commands.
