Barcelona midfielder Pedri explained that German coach Hansi Flick’s strictness is behind the team’s great start this season.
The Catalan team now leads by 9 points, after beating Espanyol 3-1 on Sunday, and Pedri believes that the entire team deserves praise.
Pedri said – in statements reported by the Relivo network – “Behind Flick’s friendly personality, there is a strictness that is the basis of the team’s success.”
The newspaper explained that former coach Xavi Hernandez’s rule stipulated that players who were late for meetings, lectures or training were fined. The fine was usually one thousand euros for each minute of delay, and was doubled as time increased.
