The Mexican state oil company Pemex reported this Friday a net loss of 52,003 million pesos (about 2,584 million dollars) in the third quarter of 2022 due to an increase in the cost of sales and foreign exchange losses due to the depreciation of the peso against the dollar.
The company reported in the same quarter of last year a loss of 77,209 million pesos.
The total income of Pemex, the largest firm in the country, increased by 56.5% year-on-year, to 602,150 million pesos, favored both by higher sales volumes in the country and by exports and better international prices.
