Yum! Ahead of Thanksgiving, Pepsi ran another contest to give away a limited-edition Pepsi Apple Pie cola
Ahead of Thanksgiving, Pepsi ran another contest to give away a limited-edition Pepsi Apple Pie cola.
‘Failing at baking — especially this year — is nothing to be ashamed of, and we’re celebrating those amateur bakers that are truly trying their best during a unique holiday season,’ Todd Kaplan, Vice President Marketing of Pepsi, said in a press release.
‘With Pepsi Apple Pie, we’re providing a refreshingly delicious twist on the traditional slice of apple pie, while making sure people have some fun and don’t take themselves too seriously in the process.’
The first 1,500 to enter the #PepsiApplePieChallenge sweepstakes on Twitter or TikTok won a two-liter bottle.
A soda sparkler! Earlier this year, Pepsi gave away a free engagement ring featuring a 1.53 carat lab-grown diamond — that was made out of actual Crystal Pepsi
One-of-a-kind: Crystal Pepsi was boiled down into a powder and mixed with carbon and a small piece of natural diamond, then put under high pressure
Earlier this year, Pepsi offered one lucky winner the opportunity to pop the question with a free engagement ring featuring a 1.53 carat lab-grown diamond — that was made out of actual Crystal Pepsi.
The ring looked like any other diamond sparkler, with a nice-sized rock sitting atop a platinum band.
But the brand revealed that it used real Crystal Pepsi to make the diamond in a lab, boiling the clear cola drink down to its ‘most basic carbon form’ and adding it to the diamond-growing process.
Growing diamonds in a lab is a complicated process, but it results in a gem that’s identical to one found in nature.
To make this one, Crystal Pepsi was boiled down into a powder and mixed with carbon and a small piece of natural diamond. All of that was put under high pressure in high temperature to create a bigger lab-grown diamond.
Pepsi worked with the creative agency VaynerMedia to make the ring, which is valued at $3,000.
