The ballet “A Thousand and One Nights”, which was developed in Vladivostok, Russia, by ballet designer Eldar Aliyev, will become part of the repertoire of the Mariinsky Theater in Petersburg.
This was announced by the Russian People’s Artist and Director of the Mariinsky Theater, Valery Gergiev, during a meeting with the artists of the ballet troupe from Vladivostok, who arrived in Petersburg to present its new ballets. Her performances in Petersburg ended with the classic Tchaikovsky ballet “Sleeping Beauty”.
It is noteworthy that the Ballet Theater in Vladivostok is a branch of the “Mariinsky” theater, which displays his experimental plays there. The “A Thousand and One Nights” ballet by local ballet designer Eldar Aliyev is one of those experimental ballets that will be shown from now, according to Gergiev, at the new “Mariinsky” theater in Petersburg.
It is noteworthy that the performances of the ballet theater from Vladivostok in Petersburg began on January 15th and ends on January 22nd.
It included the performance of the ballets “Garsar”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Bayadrika”, as well as the ballet “A Thousand and First Nights”, which enjoyed great popularity among St. Petersburg fans.
