The Organizing Committee of the Petersburg International Economic Forum 2021 confirmed that the economic event will be held this year face to face, taking into account health prevention measures, and using modern digital technologies.

The forum’s organizing committee discussed the main preparations for the economic event, including preparing the site and infrastructure of Saint Petersburg for the forum’s activities, taking into account health measures.
The forum will be held this year from 2 to 5 next June, and holding the forum is a victory over the Coronavirus pandemic, especially since this event was canceled last year due to the pandemic.
According to Andrei Belosov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and Chairman of the Forum Organizing Committee, the priority for the forum organizers is safety, and he said during the committee meeting: “I would like to draw your attention to the fact that we have not yet organized such an economic event, taking into account the restrictions imposed by the epidemic.”
He pointed out that a set of epidemiological safety measures will be developed to be applied during the Petersburg International Economic Forum, where the health status of the forum’s guests will be monitored, and special ventilation devices will be used in the exhibition hall, and the conference center will be equipped with disinfection devices.

For his part, Anton Kobyakov, secretary of the forum’s organizing committee, said that “the forum will be held face to face and with the use of modern digital technologies,” noting that the foreign participants expressed their interest in the forum’s activities.
The Russian official confirmed that health safety measures will be applied in accordance with Russian requirements and WHO standards to prevent the spread of Coronavirus infection.
The forum is usually attended by directors of major Russian and foreign companies, in addition to politicians, heads of government and ministers from different countries of the world. And Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously confirmed his participation in the forum in person and not via video.
The forum represents a platform to attract foreign investments to the Russian economy, and its activities include various activities such as a round table and cultural events, and a forum for small and medium-sized entrepreneurship will also be held on its sidelines.
