Plerk, Pulsar and Bybit were the startups of the week

1.- Pulsar seeks to digitize the manufacturing industry in Mexico

Pulsar, a company based in California, United States, seeks to digitize the manufacturing industry in northern Mexico. Focused mainly on plants manufacture in Nuevo León, it offers a product that consists of digitizing the machines of the manufacturing plants through a set of sensors that allow monitoring the performance of the production lines.

• Pulsar was founded in early 2019 by Chileans Juan Cristóbal Ruiz-Tagle and Matias Castillo.
• In 2021, the startup raised a seed round for 3.6 million dollars, in order to grow its product portfolio and customer base.
• The productivity of the plants that have implemented the solution has managed to increase up to 10% in just a few months, with which the Return on Investment is quite accelerated.

2.- Plerk raises 12 million dollars in series A

The employee benefits platform Plerk raised a series A round for 12 million dollars led by Upload Ventures and accompanied by Magma Partners, 500 Startups, MGV Capital and angel investors from Rappi, Frubana and Troura. Plerk is a startup born in Mexico that is dedicated to offering benefit plans for company workers.

• Plerk was founded at the end of 2020 by Angel Arias and Miguel Medina, former employees of the Colombian Rap.
• With the resources from this round, Plerk intends to further strengthen its position in the Mexican market and continue consolidating itself in the rest of Spanish-speaking Latin America.
• In the most recent year, Plerk added more than 40,000 users to its platform in more than 350 companies in Mexico, Colombia and Chile.

3.- Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit reaches 10 million users

The cryptocurrency exchange with origin in Singapore Bybit announced that it reached a total of 10 million users in 160 countries. The platform was founded in 2018 and is intended for use by professional traders.

• The company said it has experienced 346% growth in Argentina255% in Brazil and 27% in Mexico.
• It also introduced new products that include an aggregator web3 for decentralized finance products and a debit card that will allow users to pay with stablecoins.
