(CNN) — South Korean police believe K-pop star Moon Bin, a member of the boy band Astro, took his own life, Gangnam police told CNN on Thursday.
“Moon is believed to have taken his own life and no evidence of foul play has been found in connection with this case,” police confirmed to CNN by telephone.
The star was found dead at her home in southern Seoul by her manager at around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, according to an official from the Gangnam police station.
Moon Bin was a member of the boy band Astro and the news of his death was released by Fanttagio, the group’s music label. In a statement on Instagram, Fantagio said Moon Bin “suddenly left us and became a star in the sky.”
