About half of US Republican voters said they would leave the Republican Party and join a new political force if it is created by former President Donald Trump.
According to a poll conducted by USA Today and Suffolk University, 46% of Republican voters supported the idea of establishing the “Trump Party” and expressed their willingness to join it after leaving the Republican Party, while 27% did not agree to this, and the rest did not make a decision in this regard.
59% of Republican voters support Trump’s participation in the 2024 presidential election, and 76% are willing to vote for him.
Only 4% of those surveyed said that Trump’s impeachment measures had a negative impact on their opinion of the former US president, while 42% said that their attitude toward him had improved after the impeachment measures.
The poll was conducted from February 15 to 19 by phone, and polled 1,000 people who voted for Trump in the November election.
