A poll in the United States shows that more than 50% of Americans believe incumbent President Donald Trump should step down before his term ends due to the riots in the Capitol.
According to a poll conducted by Reuters in conjunction with the research company Ipsos, 57% of Americans believe that Trump is no longer able to serve as president of the United States.
14% believe that he should be removed from office through impeachment procedures, 30% support using the 25th amendment to the constitution to remove him, and 13% said that Trump should be removed from office.
The results of the poll also show that more than 80% of the respondents condemn the actions of the people who stormed the Capitol building last Wednesday, 12% expressed their support for what happened, and 6% found it difficult to answer.
The poll was conducted from January 7 to 8 and included 1005 Americans over the age of 18, including 490 Democrats, 363 Republicans, and 100 people who were not supporters of any party.
