The US Embassy in Baghdad condemned the missile attack on its compound in the Green Zone, stressing that it resulted in minor damage to the embassy compound, “without human losses.”
In a statement, the embassy called on “all Iraqi political and governmental leaders to take steps to prevent such attacks and hold those responsible accountable.”
For its part, the government security information cell in Iraq, commenting on the bombing, said, “An outlaw group launched missiles from Al-Rashid Camp (south of Baghdad) towards the area.”
