It’s mostly cloudy to start the work week in New Hampshire with scattered downpours and thunderstorms (some strong) very late Monday night into Tuesday.
The humidity will continue to rise into Tuesday.
Storms that move in during the predawn hours of Tuesday morning could be strong with very heavy rain and gusty winds. There is a low chance of a weak tornado in southern New Hampshire.
Tuesday will be very humid with scattered downpours and thunderstorms (some strong) in the morning with another round likely in the afternoon.
Some sunshine could break through the clouds Tuesday afternoon, but that will help fuel that second round of storms.
Any storms that form Tuesday will be capable of producing downpours, which could lead to more pockets of flooding. Some storms might also bring damaging wind gusts.
A Flood Watch kicks in at 3 a.m. Tuesday through Tuesday evening for central and southern New Hampshire where some flash flooding is mostly likely.
Wednesday looks to feature lower humidity with a few passing showers in northern spots and more sun farther south.
It will be partly sunny and warmer on Thursday, with a chance for a late-day thunderstorm to the north.
