The Cairo Court of Urgent Matters decided to postpone the first session of the trial of the artist Mohamed Ramadan on charges of defying the Egyptian people and posting a picture with a famous Israeli actor on the communication sites until January 2.
The lawsuit filed by Hani Gad, the lawyer, said: “Muhammad Ramadan appeared on social media with one of the most famous actors Omir Adam in the Zionist entity and published it on his account, thus striking all norms and thus striking the feeling of Egyptians and the extent of the Egyptians’ hatred of the Zionist entity in a blatant, irresponsible, habitual challenge. On him, Muhammad Ramadan or Nember and that, as he claims to himself, other than that image, his works were not up to the point of being acrobatic, not artistic, intentionally stirring up strife among the Egyptian people, whether by his works on screens or published pictures of him, who became a cancer that destroys what remains of morals or belonging To the state. “
The lawsuit added that Muhammad Ramadan “forgot that the Zionist entity is the first enemy of our country, but rather the only one, and the belief connected to the hearts of the sons of this state. This rampant entity that does nothing but has killed and shed the blood of the Egyptians who seized the lands of our country, this is in addition to what Ramadan did.” Whoever takes youth has an unfavorable role model, whether in his series or films that aim at bullying, demolishing the morals of society, erasing the spirit of tolerance, and cultivating among young people a love of revenge and false manhood by killing, beating and harassing aggressors, excessive force and using firearms to kill his opponents.
The plaintiff demanded that Muhammad Ramadan be banned from the state’s official channels as well as satellite channels, and he is banned from holding any concerts inside Egyptian territory or filming any artistic works inside Egypt, and for him to be removed from the Syndicate of Musical and Film Professions.
