“Mayfair Witches” is a new show based on the books by author Anne Rice. New episodes air on AMC every Sunday starting January 8, and you can stream episodes early every Thursday through AMC Plus.
The show follows Rowan Fielding, a neurosurgeon who discovers that she has magical powers and is the descendant of a coven of witches. As she learns more about her family, she must face a dark presence that has haunted them for generations.

Alexandra Daddario (“The White Lotus”) stars as Fielding. She’s joined by Jack Huston (“The Irishman”), Tongayi Chirisa (“Next Exit”), Harry Hamlin (“Clash of the Titans”), Beth Grant (“Lucky”), and Annabeth Gish (“Mystic Pizza”).
Season one of “Mayfair Witches” is based on the first book in the “Lives of the Mayfair Witches” trilogy, “The Witching Hour.” The show is created by Esta Spalding and Michelle Asford (“Masters of Sex”), who also serve as executive producers.
How to watch ‘Mayfair Witches’
You can watch “Mayfair Witches” every Sunday through February 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC. You can also stream new episodes a few days early every Thursday on AMC Plus.
An AMC Plus subscription costs $9 a month, but you can save $24 a year if you sign up for an annual plan. AMC Plus is also available as an add-on channel to other streaming apps, like Amazon Prime Video or Apple TV. It also costs $9 a month to add the service to those platforms.
If you want to stream the show as it airs on the AMC cable channel, you can watch “Mayfair Witches” through any live TV streaming service that carries the channel, including Philo, Sling TV, YouTube TV, and FuboTV.
Full channel lineups vary and regular starting prices range from $25 to $70 a month. Philo is the cheapest of the bunch at $25 a month for access to AMC and around 60 total channels.
