Prince Charles will prove himself to be quite the reality star when he makes a surprise appearance on ITV’s Keeping Up With The Aristocrats on Monday, MailOnline can exclusively reveal.

The future king, 73, seems to have taken a leaf out of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s book – who are rumoured to star in their own fly-on-the-wall Netflix series after inking an estimated $100 million deal with the streaming giant.

Having filmed scenes at Harrogate’s The Great Yorkshire Show in July 2021, viewers will enjoy his conversation with Lord Gerald Fitzalan Howard, 59, about his prospects of purchasing a cow at the prestigious farming event.

Just moments earlier, his wife Lady Emma likens one of the animal’s ‘booties’ to Kim Kardashian’s, whose former TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians bears a striking resemblance to the name of her own programme.

She then gasps: ‘Oh my goodness, have you seen who’s here. Prince Charles. Oh my god,’ at the sight of The Prince of Wales and his entourage.

Putting on a dapper display in a sandy suit and a multi-coloured striped tie, he happily strolls over to the 17th Duke of Norfolk’s son for his reality TV debut.

Donning a pair of trendy tortoise-shell sunglasses, Charles begins, ‘Are you trying to buy?’ before Gerald replies, ‘I am sir, I am. Course I am.’

Referring to breeds of cattle, which sell for up to £1,000 each, Queen Elizabeth II’s son says: ‘Shorthorn. Are you a Shorthorn man?’ with a nervous Gerald quipping: ‘I’m trying to be a Longhorn man. I’m Shorthorn, Longhorn, not quite sure’

In front of a camera crew, the heir to the throne observes: ‘They are a wonderful cow. Where are you going to put them?’

The father-of-four responds: ‘We live quite near here. A place called Carlton Towers and we’re trying to build up a herd.’

Charles says: Well done. But they’re wonderful because they just get on with it on their own,’ with Gerald agreeing, ‘Exactly, exactly, thank you sir.’

Keeping Up With The Aristocrats shines a light on some of the wealthiest families in the UK, and their attempts to earn a living and stay in the upper-crust.

The series also features Princess Olga Romanoff, a cousin of the Queen and relative of Prince Philip, who claimed in a previous episode she was once considered an eligible match for Charles.

It comes after DailyMail.com revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan brought a film crew on their Veterans Day trip to New York in November, sparking speculation that the visit was part of a new Netflix show.

Harry and Meghan were accompanied by a three-person camera crew that hid their equipment in an apparent attempt to keep the film project under wraps.

The Sussexes at the time said they planned to focus on creating informative, as well as ‘inspirational family programming’, and hoped to ‘share impactful content that unlocks action’ through Netflix’s ‘unprecedented reach.’

However, it is unclear who commissioned the entourage of videographers accompanying the couple on their trip.

Keeping Up with the Aristocrats continues on Monday on ITV at 9pm.
