Prince George stole the show as he joined his parents to watch England play Germany in the European Football Championship tonight.
The young royal, seven, made a surprise appearance alongside his parents Prince William, 39 and Kate Middleton, 39 at Wembley.
Dressed in a smart suit and sporting a striped tie similar to his father’s, with his hair neatly parted at one side, it was a big moment for the young royal who only steps into the spotlight with his parents on select occasions.
George, who is a football fan like his father, was the only one of the three Cambridge children to come to the game, with his sister Princess Charlotte, six and brother Prince Louis, three, staying at home.
The young prince amused fans when he mumbled shyly while the stadium joined together with the players to sing God Save the Queen, as some pointed out the song was about his great-grandmother.

For the occasion, George was wearing a smart suit just like his father, with a similar tie in pink and blue, with a light blue shirt underneath.
Prince William was wearing a similar outfit with a navy blue suit while his mother stunned in a red jacket and white t-shirt.
Prince George, who is a football fan just like his father, who is the president of the FA and an Aston Villa fan, couldn’t hide his impatience for the game to start ahead of the Wembley clash.
But the young Prince didn’t seem too sure about the lyrics of the song celebrating the Queen.
The Cambridges’s son looked away while his parents sang the national anthem, perhaps feeling a bit shy about singing with all eyes on him.

Some royal fans dubbed his attitude ‘relatable,’ as the nation prepared to watch the Three Lions in action.
‘Prince George is so relatable,’ one fan joked.
‘”Not that song about granny again!”,’ another said.
‘Bless him,’ wrote on with a laughing emoji.

George attended his first live game with his father to watch a game opposing Norwich City to Aston Villa in October 2019.
For his fifth birthday picture in 2019, the young prince was photographed in his Three Lions jersey by his doting mother Kate Middleton.
The Mail understanstood at the time that while those pictures were taken at Kensington Palace during the England ‘lionesses’ recent World Cup campaign, the top was one of his favourite items of clothing and George could frequently be seen haring around Kensington Palace with a football at his feet.
The young prince had celebrated his sixth birthday by inviting his whole class at Thomas Battersea to the football- themed occasion ahead of the end of term in 2019.
In 2020, it was revealed that Prince George played in a local football team during term time, and had celebrated his seventh birthday with a football-themed party.
Vanity Fair’s royal editor Katie Nicholl had anonymous sources tell her at the time: ‘I wouldn’t be surprised if his birthday has a football theme. George is football crazy and actually a very good player.’
They added: ‘During term time he plays for a local team and Will and Kate are often there to cheer him on.’
