It is the first time Zara, 39, Princess Anne‘s daughter, has been seen since giving birth to her son Lucas Philip Tindall three weeks ago.
Zara looked poised as she wore an understated round-necked black gown and a lace headpiece, which she paired with elegant silver droplet earrings as her husband Mike drove them to Windsor Castle for Prince Philip’s funeral.
Like her cousin Princess Eugenie, Zara named her newborn son after her beloved grandfather.
However in a tragic turn of events it is thought he never had the chance to meet his two youngest great-grandsons due to Covid restrictions.

Mike Tindall, 42, yesterday posted a heartfelt Instagram tribute to Prince Philip, sharing a photo of the Duke of Edinburgh with his great-granddaughter Mia Grace, seven.
He shared the photo, taken by the Duchess of Cambridge, alongside a caption that read: ‘It’s been a very sad week but it has given us time to reflect on great memories and stories both personal and shared. A devoted family man who we will forever miss but always love.’
The snapshot of Prince Philip, who passed away aged 99 at Windsor Castle on Friday, showed the Duke sitting outside a log cabin.
He was leaned over a wooden table to enjoy a meal in the countryside setting alongside Mike and Zara’s seven-year-old daughter Mia Grace.

It comes just days after Prince William and Kate Middleton released their own touching photo of the Duke of Edinburgh and the Queen with seven of their great-grandchildren – Prince George, Prince Louis, Savannah Phillips, Princess Charlotte, Isla Phillips holding Lena Tindall, and Mia Tindall
It comes just days after Prince William and Kate released their own touching photograph of the Duke of Edinburgh and the Queen with seven of their great-grandchildren.
The previously unseen photograph, which was taken at Balmoral Castle in 2018 by the Duchess of Cambridge, shows Prince Philip with his arm around Peter Phillips’ daughter Isla, while the Queen, 94, can be seen holding a then-baby Prince Louis in her arms.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte can be seen offering a cheeky smile in the picture, while Peter’s elder daughter Savannah Phillips poses alongside the Tindalls’ daughters Mia and Lena.

The Queen’s four children, eight grandchildren and their respective spouses have come together today to support Her Majesty following the death of her husband last week at the age of 99.
Also invited is Jack Brooksbank, the husband of Eugenie, daughter of the Duke and the Duchess of York, and Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Three German relatives – whose ancestors were denied a place at Princess Elizabeth and Philip’s wedding because of anti-German feeling after the second war – have been included.
Others on the guest list include the Queen’s first cousins Princess Alexandra, the Duke of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent, who loyally supported the monarch and Philip by carrying out royal duties over the decades.
But the most prominent name missing from the list is Prince Harry’s wife Meghan, who has stayed at home in Los Angeles as she is unable to fly as she is expecting her second child.
Also is missing is the Queen’s cousin, Prince Michael of Kent, 78, who is not a working royal.
There was also not room for the spouses of the Queen’s cousins – the Duchess of Gloucester and the Duchess of Kent, nor Prince Michael’s often controversial wife, Princess Michael of Kent.
The two great-grandchildren Prince Philip never got to meet: Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall both gave birth to sons who they named after the Duke of Edinburgh in the last two months
Prince Philip’s granddaughters Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall both paid tribute to their beloved grandfather by naming their newborn sons after him.
But in a tragic turn of events, the Duke of Edinburgh never had the chance to meet the two great-grandsons who were named in his honour.
Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank, who married in October 2018, named their first child, a son born in February, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.

Eugenie once described him as the rock of the family.
Speaking in the 2016 ITV documentary Our Queen at Ninety, Princess Eugenie said of Philip: ‘I think Grandpa is incredible. He really is strong and consistent. He’s been there for all these years, and I think he’s the rock, you know, for all of us.’
The Duke of Edinburgh showed his dedication to his granddaughters in turn by making rare public appearances to attend Eugenie and Beatrice’s weddings.

The Queen announced her husband’s death at midday as the Union Flag was lowered to half-mast outside Buckingham Palace.
The Royal Family said in a statement: ‘It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
‘His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Further announcements will made in due course. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss’.

His funeral will be a small family service at St George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle before the duke is buried in Frogmore Gardens, where Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were laid to rest.
More details will emerge in the next few days, with the plan nicknamed ‘Operation Forth Bridge’, but the public have already been urged to stay away to avoid spreading Covid-19 and watch it on TV at home instead.
A state funeral including a flotilla of boats on the Thames to mark her husband’s life looks impossible due to covid restrictions, but the Duke was said to have disliked the idea because he ‘didn’t want the fuss’.
The plans for the funeral were posted online by the government – before swiftly being taken down again. They appeared to confirm claims from sources.
