Princess Eugenie posts sweet snaps of her ‘inspiration’ Beatrice jumping in the Saudi Arabian dessert to mark her older sister’s 36th birthday

Princess Eugenie has posted a series of sweet snaps of Princess Beatrice to celebrate her older sister’s 36th birthday today.  

Eugenie, who is two years younger than Beatrice, shared three images of her sister in lighthearted poses on Instagram, and described Beatrice as ‘an inspiration’ who has ‘paved the way’ for her. 

The first image, taken at trampoline park at Desert X AlUla in Saudi Arabia, shows Beatrice jumping in the air with her arms outstretched.

The beaming Princess is sporting dark sunglasses and a denim jacket, which she’s paired with khaki trousers and trainers for a casual look. 

The second picture, which was taken in the same location, shows the two smiling sisters holding hands in a similar mid-air pose.

Another image showed a fun-loving Beatrice in her role as auntie to Eugenie’s sons and appears to have been taken at her parents’ residence, the Royal Lodge in Windsor

Meanwhile, the third photo pictures a fun-loving Beatrice in her role as auntie to Eugenie’s sons and appears to have been taken at her parents’ residence, the Royal Lodge in Windsor. 

Wearing a headband featuring rabbit ears, Beatrice is jumping out from behind a patch of daffodils to surprise her one-year-old nephew, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, who appears captivated by his auntie’s amusing show. 

Eugenie added a heartfelt caption to her ‘Happy Birthday’ post, writing: ‘Happy birthday dearest Beabea!! What an inspiration you are. You’ve paved the way for your little sissy. Love you x. 

Enthusiastic Fans of the royal sisters were quick to comment on Eugenie’s post, which received over 37,000 likes with an hour.

One person wrote: ‘Happy birthday Beatrice!!!! Love the photos! Thanks for sharing!’

A second, international fan added: ‘Happy Birthday Princess Beatrice! Greetings from Brazil‘.

Others took the opportunity to share their thoughts on the pictures, with Instagram users picking out the picture of Beatrice with her nephew as their favourite. 

One person, who noted that Beatrice’s was born on the eighth day of the eighth month of the year in 1988, posted: ‘8-8-88 Happy Birthday Princess Beatrice. May the coming year be wonderful. Love the last pic.’

Earlier today, Sarah Ferguson posted an adorable childhood picture of her daughters to mark Princess Beatrice‘s 36th birthday. 

The Duchess of York, 64, shared the black and white image of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie as youngsters on Instagram as she wished her eldest daughter ‘Happy Birthday’. 

The picture, which amassed well over 3,000 likes in less than an hour of it being posted, shows the two sisters with their heads close together, with a grinning Beatrice seemingly whispering something in Eugenie’s ear. 

While Eugenie’s face is obscured, the young Beatrice, whose long hair is tied back, is looking at the camera.

Sarah’s post is accompanied by a gushing caption praising her ‘amazing daughter’.

It reads: ‘Happy birthday my wonderful Beatrice. You are the most amazing daughter, mother, stepmother, sister, wife and woman!

Sarah’s post has attracted over 100 comments from royal fans, with people rushing to congratulate Beatrice and praising her as a ‘phenomenal woman’. 

One person wrote: ‘Happy birthday Beatrice. Have a fabulous day’.
