Prodecon contributes to the collection with 27,795 million pesos through conclusive agreements

The Taxpayer Defense Attorney (Prodecon) has helped in the collection with 27,795 million pesos, through the figure of the conclusive agreement, so far this year.

The aforementioned amount exceeded the 21,107 million pesos registered in all of 2021.

In this sense, the attorney general’s office projected that at the end of the year it will contribute to the collection of some 30,000 million pesos, thus consolidating this procedure as a true alternative for solving tax disputes.

The conclusive agreement is a taxpayer tool, promoted before Prodecon, which is used to resolve disputes arising from cabinet reviews, home visits or electronic reviews performed by the Service tax administration (SAT).

Between January and the first half of November, Prodecon reported that the registered amount was achieved thanks to the signing of 1,005 conclusive agreements between taxpayers and the authority.

Likewise, the figure of conclusive agreement is 70 percent effective. In other words, two out of three requested procedures achieve a consensus between the parties.

“The conclusive agreement procedure has been a favorable tool, in which, through mutual trust between taxpayers and the reviewing authorities, it is possible to make transparent the disputes raised as a result of the audit, allowing consensus to be reached, without the matters being prosecuted. , thus avoiding the costs that this represents for both parties and the time that the trials can last,” he explained.

It should be remembered that as of this year, as a result of the approval of the Fiscal Miscellaneous 2022, the conclusive agreements will have to end within a period of no more than 12 months.

Prodecon officials have told this space that the tax change provided certainty to taxpayers and generates special attention to taxpayers.

Despite the fiscal change, Prodecon has revealed that more than 80% of the requests for Conclusive Agreements conclude in less than a year.
