- An Australian woman has shown off her newly up-cycled fridge and it is amazing
- She used rose gold coloured contact to cover the big, old fridge all over
- The fridge was second hand and this was a cheap way to make it suit her home
An Australian mum has shown off her $5 hack to completely transform your fridge – and all you need is a pair of scissors, tape and some contact from Kmart.
The mum shared photos of her like-new rose-gold fridge on Facebook after the incredible transformation.
She explained that she used her key card to press the adhesive film onto the fridge.

She had initially used a ruler but found it scratched the metallic adhesive too much.
Working from the top of the fridge the mum slowly peeled away the contact and pressed it on to the drab, white metal.
The fridge looked old and battered before the transformation – the mum was happy with the much needed face lift.
And others were impressed too.
The original fridge looked old and tacky – but the rose gold film completely transformed it
The sheets of contact can be bought at Kmart – the project cos the mum $5
‘Looks great, you have some serious contacting skills there,’ said one woman.
‘I hate contact – but this is gorgeous,’ said another.
The fridge was bought from a garage sale and was not in the best condition on the outside.
‘This looks awesome, might save people asking what happened to the fridge,’ said one woman.
