Psychologist, 40, ‘SETTLES lawsuit with former San Antonio Spurs player Josh Primo, 19,’ over claims he exposed himself nine times during private sessions with her
A former San Antonio Spurs team therapist has settled with its ex-rising star Josh Primo and the organization after she filed a lawsuit just two weeks ago.Â
Hillary Cauthen sued the 19-year-old free agent and the NBA team, which she says ‘ignored her repeated reports of indecent exposure.’
Cauthen claimed Primo exposed himself to her nine times during private sessions beginning in December of 2021.Â

She also made reference in her lawsuit to other women who have reportedly accused the Toronto native of exposure.Â
Though matters have been resolved since, with Cauthen’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, releasing a statement Thursday, saying the parties ‘agreed to resolve the matter,’ via TMZ.

The psychologist was hired by the Spurs in 2021, but her employment with the team ended when her contract was not renewed in August of 2022.Â
Meanwhile, the ex-Spurs guard was released on October 28 after accusations surrounding Primo’s alleged behavior became public.
Primo is now an unrestricted free agent and with the lawsuit settled, perhaps his path to a second NBA franchise is clearer.Â

Primo averaged 7.0 points in four games this season while battling minor injuries.Â
The six-foot-six guard averaged 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in his rookie season with the Spurs after playing one season at Alabama.Â
He started 18 games, and at 18 years, 300 days became the youngest player in league history to appear in an NBA game after one season in Tuscaloosa.
