Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov has said that his country will face three major problems this year, and Moscow must work to solve them.
Pushkov explained on his Telegram page that the first issue facing Russia this year is how to get out of the epidemic situation (Corona), the second is the dictates of the Internet giants, and the second concerns changes within the United States and in its foreign policy.
“The answer to the first is vaccination … and on the second is the Anti-Internet Censorship Act, which has just come into effect … in addition to developing our Internet platforms, there is no doubt that the big network giants will not comply with Russian requirements,” Bushkov wrote.
With regard to solving the third problem related to changes in the United States and the American foreign policy, Pushkov said, “This will depend on Russia’s ability to withstand the pressure of the United States, which is likely to increase.”
The Russian senator indicated that “Washington will view any sign of weakness on the part of Moscow as evidence of the success of the pressure, and will lead to its intensification.”
Pushkov also believes that dialogue on certain issues, such as extending the “START III” treaty, with the US administration is possible, but it will be limited and will not affect the “main content of the relationship” with Washington.
