The Russian president said, during a meeting held today with the Minister of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, that Russia should develop tools for trading grain on the stock exchange.
He pointed to the importance of developing tools of this kind, stressing that this cannot be achieved quickly, but it is necessary to move in this direction, and said: “Why not, we are now the first country to export wheat. Carefully step by step, this should not be done between Overnight, this is a complicated process. “
Russian grain exports in the current agricultural year (from July 2020 to June 2021) are expected to record an increase of 25% compared to the same period last season.
Grain exports from Russia, the world’s largest exporter of wheat, are expected to reach 34.3 million tons. According to the newspaper “Vedomosti”, which was based on data from an agricultural center, this result is the highest in history.
