In his congratulations on the occasion of Special Operations Forces Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Armed Forces have unique capabilities to solve extremely important and complex tasks.
President Putin indicated that these forces include in their ranks fighters ready to operate in unusual circumstances anywhere in the world, if Russia’s interests and security require this.
President Putin expressed his “thanks, to the elements of the Special Operations Forces, for their sincere service and the sincere and unwavering fulfillment of military duty and oath.”

President Putin noted that the formation of the Special Operations Forces came as a response to the challenges of time, and to the serious changes in the nature of risks, military threats and methods of conducting armed struggle.
President Putin added that it is possible today to say with confidence that “our armed forces possess unique capabilities that allow them to solve highly vital and complex tasks.”
