Russian President Vladimir Putin began the business meeting today by asking all the meeting participants about their health and whether they were okay after plunging into the icy waters during the Epiphany.
During the meeting on the development of integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, Putin said: “The first question: Among those who participated in the diving during the Epiphany, is everyone in good health? Is everything OK, is everyone in their workplace?”
And Putin continued: “No one got sick, Glory be to God.”
Yesterday, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that President Vladimir Putin participated this year as well in the Epiphany events that took place in the Moscow region.
It is known that the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates the night of January 19 of each year, with the baptism of Christ, and the traditions of the feast include immersion in water three times, just like the Christ baptized by John the Baptist.
