Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that his country is ready to live in new geopolitical conditions, but it will not agree to present “generous gifts” that will be used against Russia’s interests.
“I would like to say that we are ready to live in new geopolitical conditions. Moreover, we consider the peoples of our neighboring countries to be fraternal. We are ready to give them our shoulder or help us to ensure their development and progress together,” Putin said, in a speech he gave today, Thursday, during a ceremony marking the 7th anniversary of the return of Crimea to Russia. And to move forward while taking advantage of our competitive capabilities, which we have in sufficient size. “
The Russian president added, “But there is a condition that we will never agree to, which is that someone allows himself to exploit the generous gifts from Russia in order to harm the Russian Federation itself. I hope this message will be heard.”
Putin also stressed that “the return of Crimea to Russia represents a revival of historical justice.”
