“The State of Qatar condemns in the strongest terms the missile attack that targeted Riyadh, the capital of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and considers it a dangerous act against civilians, which contradicts all international norms and laws,” she said in a statement published by the official news agency.
In the statement, Doha reiterated its firm position on rejecting violence, criminal and sabotage acts, regardless of the motives and reasons.
The Saudi-led Arab coalition announced on Saturday that it had intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi “Ansar Allah” group towards the capital, Riyadh, as well as 5 drones towards the Kingdom’s territory.
In recent days, the Houthis have intensified their targeting of the kingdom with explosive drones and ballistic missiles, which the coalition confirmed that they were all shot down without any injuries.
