Queretaro companies continue in the process of stabilization after the Covid-19 pandemic

Queretaro, Qro. Companies in the state continue in stabilization processes after almost three years of the impact of the health contingency due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Covid-19without so far having resumed pre-pandemic production levels, highlighted the president of the Querétaro Business Center of the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex), Jorge Camacho Ortega.

Therefore, he estimated that it will be until the second half of next year when companies resume pre-pandemic activity levels, which would imply a faster recovery rate than at the national level.

In relation to the economic recovery, we are still in the recovery process, we are not in a better phase than before the pandemic (…) I think that, in the particular case of Querétaro, probably in the second half of next year we could be in those levels, I would dare to say that we are a year and six months ahead of the rest of the country,” he said.

At the local level, he added, this recovery process is affected by the arrival of investment projects in the state, coupled with the reinvestment of profits by some companies.

“This is largely due to the investments that are coming to Querétaro, that is the big difference, and there are also investments from local companies that are reinvesting profits or putting money into it because they trust the state,” he explained.

There are no closures, that is important, there are no companies that are closing, however, because we are in that phase of stabilization and recovering”, he added.
