Querétaro’s export sector goes for new destinations in this 2023

Queretaro, Qro. This year the export sector will bet on new destinations to diversify Queretaro’s exports, visualizing opportunities in Asian countries, but also in the American continent itself.

The president of the local Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology (Comce), Óscar Peralta Casares, announced that they also see potential to enter the northern market of Africaamong others.

The Middle East, South Asia, North Africa, are potential markets that are not fully exploited today and that can be exploited with a little more force and obviously reinforce the markets we already have,” he said.

Therefore, one of the objectives will be to strengthen commercial ties with countries of Central America and of South America; He added that it seeks to be an alternative for the substitution of Asian imports.

“They are neighboring countries, they are countries with a lot of potential and they see us as we see those of the north, there we are going to emphasize, we are going to try to see what we can substitute in those countries that are normally imported from Asia, they are strong importers from Asian countries, we are going to see how we can replace products”, he explained.

The Queretaro production in the agri-food sector, as well as in construction systems, plastics, stamping, are some of the areas in which the entity could participate with exports to other markets.

The state president of Comce He added that although Central and South America does not see great potential in the shipment of components for the automotive or aeronautical industries –two of the pillars of local manufacturing–, they do see potential in the rest of the productive branches.
