Raghad Saddam Hussein, daughter of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, issued an audio message on the 18th anniversary of the American war on Iraq that ended her father’s rule that began in 1979.
And she said in her message: “Their ravens covered the sky of Iraq and filled the earth with their betrayal. We remember this day with bitterness, but we have not forgotten that hope in God is greater.”
She added that “Iraq will return, God willing and with strength, and as we aspire with the vigor of heroes.”

Raghad Hussein continued: “This beautiful eastern gate, which its heroes defended until martyrdom, led by the parents of the martyr President Saddam Hussein, we will not accept new names for it less than that, names with which they wanted to pollute his ancient and proud history. The Iraqis, and they will not remain in the Iraqi memory.
On the twentieth of March 2003, the US forces launched an attack on Iraq that, after weeks, ended the Ba’ath Party regime that ruled Iraq for about 35 years, of which Saddam ruled 24 years.
