The game is the deciding contest of a three-game series. The Phillies claimed the opener 4-1 on Monday with a four-run, eighth-inning rally, while the Reds answered with a 6-1 victory on Tuesday.
The delay affects the anticipated return of Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene. Greene (4-3, 2.72 ERA) was scheduled to make his first start in over two months after being sidelined with a groin strain. He was set to face Phillies starter Christopher Sanchez, who holds an 11-3 record with a 2.36 ERA.
Following the series, the Reds have a scheduled day off on Thursday, while the Phillies will travel to Washington to begin a series against the Nationals.
