When you have that much power applied for the 4×4 driving then overcoming any obstacle is guaranteed. Factory comes with gearbox, locking rear diff, and pavement drive modes Snow, Custom, Auto, Tow y Sport. But if you are in the middle of the desert or far from civilization then you can opt for one of the off road programs that are Mud/Sand, Rock and Baja. The latter is best suited for deserts because it offers great suspension responsiveness by having Bilstein Black Hawk e2 2.5-inch adaptive shocks that provide quick reaction time, unmatched damping, and increased heat dissipation, which makes them especially apt to run over rough terrain at speeds of over 100 mph.

In sand traps, the best thing to do is to activate 4low mode with rear differential lock because maximum traction capacity is obtained. The metal protections in the lower parts, such as the transmission case, the transfer and the gas tank as well as the footpegs and the wheels with Beadlocks make it a very capable 4×4.

We did the test drive from Mexico City to the Port of Veracruz, where I verified that its behavior on the road is stable, capable and smooth. The paddle shifters at the wheel favor driving, the suspension adapts thanks to its driving modes (sport). The steering wheel is ergonomic and covered in alcantara. It is capable of taking you to unimaginable 4×4 routes, especially in the deserts of the country because like no one else, it overcomes steep ascents and descents, sand traps and jumps.

The interior benefits from the large size of the vehicle so that its occupants can travel enjoying the best space. The equipment is distinguished by the technological section. The well-known 12” touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as the Uconnect4 system, the Harman Kardon audio system and the Head Up display remain on the center console.

In security, the list includes a 360º camera, Advanced Trailer Assistant, Stability Control, ABS Brakes, Advanced Brake Assist, six airbags, Traction Control, Lane Deviation Warning System, among others.
