Triple-A Durham shortstop Carson Williams continues to demonstrate significant power despite struggling with contact this season. In Sunday’s game, Williams went 3-for-4 with a triple and his 22nd home run of the year, his fifth homer in 15 games this month.
Overall, Williams is batting .214/.317/.444 with a 34% strikeout rate. However, his performance has improved considerably since the start of June, posting a .250/.352/.534 slash line in that time. His 16 home runs during that span are tied for the fifth-most in the minor leagues.
